The objective of this reduction is to provide a more conservative and realistic estimate for Brazilian traffic and climate conditions, avoiding frustration for drivers.
Why does the difference matter?
Imagine buying an electric car that advertises 400 km of autonomy in the WLTP standard. When looking at the Inmetro sticker in Brazil, this same car can record around 280 km. This difference does not mean that the car has become worse, but rather that the testing methods and safety margins are different.
